Get to know us. A word from the owner.....

I will simply describe a recent job, and it will give you an idea as to what to expect when you hire our company to paint for you..... I had recently paid my nephews to go hang our company door hangers around town, and of course, skipping any that had a "do not solicit" sign. Two outstanding, mannerly young men. They wanted to earn extra money for Prom. From a door hanger, a gentleman called. He asked me to come see his home to provide a quote. I arrived on the planned day, 5 minutes early, because I am always on time. Respect for the customer begins there. He wanted his home painted, exterior, the same color it already was, but could not remember the name or paint code. No problem. I have a device that reads the paint color to the molecular level, and tells me what Sherwin Williams paint code that would be a match. His paint had faded, and had many imperfections. I gave him paint quality options, suggesting a Sherwin Williams Emerald acrylic/latex paint in satin finish. High quality, lasts a long time, resists fading, mildew, stains, etc. If he were to purchase that same paint, it would cost him $65 per gallon more than us, because we have a contractor account. For an exterior job like he wanted, the average price in our area is between $2.25-$6.00 per square foot. So I gave him a price based on $2.25 per square foot, and we would buy the paint. I sent him an invoice, he paid a 30% deposit to cover the cost of paint. We purchased the paint. On the day we had agreed to start, I met my painters there at 6:30am. We had to wait for the sun to rise, but meanwhile, unloaded the paint and materials, so they could start as soon as there was light. One painter went around and removed unused bolts, screws, and other imperfections, then filled those holes with stucco patch. Most painting companies will simply paint over everything. Our other painter started taping and prepping the trim work. There were some service boxes, cables, and electric conduit that they wanted painted over, and some new generator hook up electric boxes with warning stickers they did not want painted. The painters taped them off, and painted according to the Homeowner's guidance. Both painters worked hard, no breaks, all through the day, and actually finished to perfection in a total of 8.5 hours. Now, please don't always expect that type of speed. Some jobs take longer. But in this case, they just powered through, and got it done. They called me to tell me they were finished. I went to the home to inspect. Together we walked around the home, looking for any missed spots. When painting, it's easy to miss a spot after staring at the same paint all day, sunlight changing, shadows, etc. You become paint blind. Nonetheless, I found no areas that needed attention. They did a perfect job. One day. But the point is that we, the Owners, come and do a final inspection as if they were painting our own home. My painters aren't finished, until we say so. We pay our painters well, but expect great work. The customer let me know that he was extremely happy, and was very thankful. I sent him the final invoice, he paid with a credit card, and hopefully we have earned his referrals. When buying the paint, I always buy a considerable amount more than needed. I do that so that the customer always has extra they can keep if they happen to damage a wall, change out windows, or any reason they may need to touch up. I leave a new brush, with the extra paint(s). This is important because if you go try to buy the same paint later, it is a paint dye mixed with a white base. So it can be off a little. This is why some homes you see splotchy marks on the wall. They needed to touch up, went and bought more of the same exact paint, but it isn't an absolute perfect match, and you can tell. We have our paint mixed, and buy extra, so you always have the same exact paint for the future. We could save money by trying to buy just the exact amount needed, but I think this is a nice touch. I'd want that if I was the customer. This is the kind of professionalism, quality, and pricing you can expect. If that is what you are willing to spend your hard earned money on, we are ready to make you feel good about choosing Affordable Painting Experts. And here is that home:
